The Last Revenant is an atmospheric sci-fi action metroidvania with horror elements, multiple upgrades to collect and a short but engaging story to uncover.

Over 1200 years into the future, the last of a series of faulty cryosleep pods finally collapses open on a faraway lunar outpost. Sombre, a poor soul with little left of their original form, is serving their sentence on a barren moon with no way to call for help. The only possibility of survival lies in an abandoned comms satellite located in low orbit, which they can only reach by collecting items to survive the harsh journey across and beyond the facility. Entrusted with a spare Hookshot, Sombre will have to try and upgrade this tool to cling to salvation.

But what happened to the rest of the research colony, and their bodies..?

The game is already very fun and fully playable, but if you happen to find any bugs or other big issues, feel free to comment! Development is still ongoing, and we are working hard to deliver the coolest and grandest metroidvania experience you could hope for! Thank you :)

Note: if you're having any significant performance issues, consider downloading the executable, which should run better than the web-based version.

You should look into adding things like coyote time and jump buffering to make this feel like a good platformer.

We have been looking into adding these features to the final release of the game after the jam on December 30th, thank you for your suggestion and for playing our game! :)

Hi, thank you for checking our game out!

As per your request, the game is also downloadable now and runs great. If you requested the executable due to performance reasons, I'll be happy to let you know that many bug fixes were implemented in the game's latest version, which are also present in the web version now :) You can find a full list of the fixes in the game's devlog!

thank you! No I just prefer not to play on the web :) can’t wait to check it out

What'm I supposed to do in the room marked with an orange "B" ? I found an ugly pile of red, with a chimney and three waving grey arms.  I can push the pile to either door, but I take damage the first time I touch the pile.  There's some signs at the top that look like a sideways red shield and a "no" symbol, and three purple upside-down trees I can't interact with.

Hello, thank you for trying the game! This was a bug and you were not supposed to be able to push the pile, it should be fixed in the latest build now :)
